Public Relations Manager

We are seeking a PR Manager with experience in international PR programs, speakership engagements, and thought leadership programs. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role is focused on building the desired GMS image, taking into consideration the company’s recent strategy change and introduction of the new product category – AI.

You will closely collaborate with product development, event, and product marketing teams to identify and pitch new topics to media, and speakership opportunities, develop relationships with key industry associations, and manage projects for our thought leadership program.

The role requires a candidate who has a background in copywriting and editing and is comfortable working with media and external partners like PR agencies, writers, as well as company speakers to craft insightful presentations and opinion pieces.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the delivery of the communications strategy, working as a team.
  • Develop and execute a yearly plan of thought leadership opportunities.
  • Develop key messages to be used in communications with external stakeholders.
  • Cooperate with PR agencies to achieve the required brand awareness.
  • Develop special projects (with media, industry analysts, and other influencers), supporting desired image and positioning.
  • Cooperate with media and develop a loyalty program.
  • Collect and plan a content calendar.
  • Create different formats of the content as well as brief PR agencies to develop such content.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing industry associations, identifying opportunities for engagement and managing projects.
  • Research and evaluate opportunities to join new industry associations per relevant subjects, aligned to our strategic priorities.
  • Manage opportunities for speakerships at events, working closely with the event team to ensure a collaborative and joined-up approach.
  • Draft communications materials as relevant for thought leadership opportunities.
  • Coach and brief speakers ahead of their engagements to ensure message consistency.
  • Support speakers during their engagements and attend events to listen and provide feedback where appropriate.
  • Manage company participation in an awards program.
  • Measure the efficiency of communications activities and define success criteria.
  • Set up reporting and media monitoring.

 

What we expect:

  • University degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Communications Manager or similar role in the Telecom or Technology industry.
  • Understanding AI topics and trends with the ability to translate them into public relations strategies, messaging, and compelling stories will be a huge advantage.
  • Strong editorial writing skills with the ability to distill fragmented information into user-friendly, accessible content.
  • Storytelling skills.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills.
  • Fluent English (both spoken and written).
  • Confidence in establishing professional relationships with leaders and stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
