We are looking for a Telecommunications Engineer to support and operate SMS Firewall solutions for customers across the Latin American market. The role focuses on ensuring secure, stable, and compliant SMS operations by preventing grey routes, monitoring traffic, and maintaining high service quality in line with SLA commitments.

What Will You Do
- Act as the primary operational contact for customers, providing support and resolving SMS Firewall–related issues.
- Monitor and operate SMS Firewall platforms, including traffic analysis, grey route blocking, rule configuration, and reporting.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve incidents related to SMS firewalls and messaging traffic.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, monitor KPIs, and prepare performance reports for customers.
- Proactively monitor firewall performance, stability, and security to prevent incidents.
- Handle operational incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Support, Deployment, Account Management) to ensure service quality and continuous improvement.
- Contribute feedback on customer needs and market specifics to improve SMS Firewall solutions.
What We Expect
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in managing and operating SMS Firewalls or solid hands-on experience with SMSC.
- Solid knowledge of SMS protocols (SMPP, SS7, SIGTRAN).
- Understanding of SMS Firewall concepts and A2P SMS business.
- Experience in traffic analysis, firewall log analysis, and incident management.
- Knowledge of network security principles and access control mechanisms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- English – upper-intermediate level or above.
- Spanish – fluent (mandatory).
